How did you come up with your number?
88 looks like BB (for Beaster Bunny… duh).
How did you come up with your derby name?
If I told you, I’d have to kill you.
How and when did you get involved with roller derby?
I got interested when I saw an article in a weekly free newspaper in Chicago in 2009. Varla Vendetta was on the cover! I was in grad school and needed to learn how to skate first, so after about a year I tried out for the Windy City Rollers and made it onto the farm team, the Haymarket Rioters. A few months later I was drafted to the Manic Attackers. And now I’m a Rebel!!
Any serious injuries?
Nope.
Do you have a rival on the track?
Grave Danger! And Mayor Francis Slayer! I hate going up against them when I’m jamming, but I intend to learn a lot from them in the coming travel season.
What is your favorite position to play?
I love it all… I was really into blocking for a while, but RSA injuries forced me to start jamming. Now I like a happy mix of both.
What is the worst penalty you ever committed?
Nothing badass (yet).
Do you have any pre-bout rituals?
Carrots. And mangoes.
What kind of skates & wheels do you roll on?
I’m rocking some Riedell 965s with Revenge plates and straight up Atom G-Rods. They’re monster wheels, but I love them.
